Blackjack Switch is a variation of Blackjack which allows the player to trade cards between two hands. This may sound like cheating but in Blackjack Switch it's allowed and can be a very handy maneuver to improve your hand and your chances of success. Blackjack Switch is played in many land based casinos throughout Las Vegas as well as Playtech online casinos.

Play commences with the player making two equal sized bets. You are then dealt two hands, just the same as traditional Blackjack. Here is where it gets interesting. If you don't like your hands, you have the option to switch the second card that is dealt to each hand. So for

example if you are dealt 5, K and T, 6 then you are allowed to switch the K and 6 around so that you have totals of 11 and 20, which is a far superior position to be in than totals of 15 and 16.

There are some other slight rule variations to traditional Blackjack. Firstly blackjack (21) only pays 1:1 rather than 3:2. This is because it is a lot easier to make 21 when you are allowed to switch cards around! So keep this in mind when you are making your switch. Also the dealer will always hit on a soft 17, double downs and splits are allowed, and if the dealer ends up with 22 then all bets are pushed (except for a blackjack which still wins).

Once you have made the switch then normal Blackjack strategy applies and the hand is played and paid out as normal.

There is also a side bet option available in Blackjack Switch. This is called the "Super Match" bet. The Super Match bet is based on the initial four cards that are dealt out and you win if you receive a pair or better as per the following table:

Pair - 1 to 1

3 of a Kind - 5 to 1

2 Pair - 8 to 1

4 of a Kind - 40 to 1
