Golden Palace Casino Sponsors Record-Breaking Handcuffed Swim

Golden Palace Casino has sponsored Matt Frame, a Canadian director, for his attempt at a record-breaking swim whilst handcuffed.

To qualify for the Guinness-registered record, Matt had to make the swim without the benefit of a wetsuit or with any assistance from the boat. He successfully swam the 3.1 nautical miles from Koh Kteah to Seredipity beach in Cambodia and the people from Guinness have officially confirmed the handcuffed swim to be the new record.

Matt Frame made the swim to raise awareness for the Joe Bodia foundation. The charity is named after the character in Matt's latest film. The Joe Bodia foundation is dedicated to raising money for underprivileged Cambodian children. After living in Cambodia for over 19 months, Matt had witnessed first-hand the cycle of poverty and hardship many children are faced with in that part of the world, and decided to do something about it.

"Of course I am doing this for publicity," said Matt. "We have tried conventional routes of fundraising but the results have been disappointing. Still, there are many people out there that will take the time to read about our goals and decide to help because they see the big picture. If my swim gives more skeptical folks reason to believe, so be it."
