Bodog Casino Girls Bodog Entertainment, parent company of the popular Bodog Casino, announced today they plan to pull all of their US gaming-related advertising, including television, radio, magazine and newspaper marketing.

The online gambling company is choosing instead to focus its marketing on the European and Asian markets in what was described by a Bodog Casino news release as "a strategic decision based on the entertainment company's long-term business objectives".

Bodog founder Calvin Ayre cited current uncertainties in the US market as the reason for the decision: "Though the online gaming environment in the U.S. seems to be headed down a toward eventual

regulation, the current climate calls for even more focus of our gaming-related advertising dollars into markets that face Europe and Asia. We couldn't be better positioned to build upon our current success and growth and to continue our aggressive push toward international expansion into markets such as Europe and Asia."

Bodog Entertainment has also just completed the relocation of its global head office and gaming operations from Costa Rica to the Caribbean island of Antigua, who is currently involved in a tense battle with the US, having complained to the World Trade Organization (WTO) that the US is not abiding by the rules of the international trade body.

"This is another step aimed toward strengthening our business model," Ayre says. "This accords our gaming division a license in a safe, reliable and well-regulated jurisdiction and Antigua is also the right jurisdiction from where to run our European expansion."

Bodog's move to Antigua will be a large boost to the local economy, which has suffered in recent years with many online gambling companies closing down or relocating from the island.

The Calvin Ayre Foundation will remain in Costa Rica, to provide continued support to disadvantaged locals in the Central American nation.
