Online gambling payment processor NETeller has announced they will soon introduce a brand new debit card for all their customers in the Europe, Asia and Pacific regions.
NETeller has withdrawn from the US and Canadian markets following the passing last year of the UIGEA and the subsequent arrests of two of the company's founders early this year. After Cirrus-Maestro withdrew as a partner, the company was forced to notify their European, Asian and Australian customers that their NETeller Debit Card program would be ceased; however the company has just announced an agreement with MasterCard to provide all their customers with a new, improved Debit Card. The new card is much improved on the old one. Customers can use it as a prepaid, reloadable debit and remittance card linked with their NETeller accounts. The card can be used at over 24 million ATMs and Point-of-Sale (PoS) terminals worldwide. The new card gives NETeller customers more flexibility and significantly lower pricing than the old card. The new card will be available in a number of currencies, which allows customers to save on foreign exchange fees. "The ability for our customers to access and use funds from their e-wallets at over 24 million online and offline outlets worldwide is very important to both them and us." said Ron Martin, NETELLER President and CEO. "As we continue to grow our business in Europe and Asia Pacific, we believe this new prepaid debit programme will allow us to open up new areas of business." The new card will begin rolling out to customers by the end of this month. News CategoriesRSS xml feed
