888 Climbs on Back of Increased Online Casino Revenue2008-02-12

888 Holdings released their cumulative 2007 figures today, announcing a large increase in revenues after gamblers bet heavily on online casino games.
888 Holdings operates the popular Casino-on-Net and Pacific Poker brands. Highlights for 888 for 2007 include (all figures exclude US): Net Gaming Revenue up 35% to $213 million. Net Casino Gaming Revenue up 33% to $118 million. Net Poker Gaming Revenue up 18% to $81 million. 30% increase in real money registered accounts to $4.7 million. 888 CEO Gigi Levy commented on today's trading update: "We are delighted with our results released today, our first full year of trading without any business in the US. Our NGR in 2007 grew strongly by 36 percent compared to 2006 with very strong fourth quarter showing 22% NGR growth in Casino and 15% in Poker compared to Q3 2007." 888's positive 2007 was also boosted by the acquisition of a number of awards, including "Best Betting and Gaming Company" at the Leisure Report Awards and "Casino of the Year" at both the eGaming Awards and the Gambling Online Awards. Casino-on-Net 888 launched a number of new Online Slots, including Adventure in Orbit, Rough Rugby and Blond Legend, a tribute to Marilyn Monroe.
