Calvin Ayre, the billionaire owner of the Bodog Entertainment gaming and media empire, pulled off a pretty entertaining April Fool's Day prank last week.

Ayre, who owns the popular Bodog Casino, had many people fooled with the announcement of a new reality TV show, in which he claimed nine women would compete to birth a baby worthy of inheriting the Bodog Empire.

Promoted with the catchy line, "9 Women Enter…8 Bastards Leave", the show promised a world of raunchy, tasteless, but possibly very entertaining, television. But, alas, it all turned out to be a hoax.

"Being surrounded by nine wailing babies? Not in this lifetime," said Ayre.

"Although I'm sure the networks will be sniffing this idea out and turning a perfectly hilarious April Fool's joke into yet another insane reality TV show - one I wouldn't star in for all the money and fame in the universe."

It turns out the 'pregnant' ladies featured in viral video promotion of the show were only Bodog staffers having some fun on camera.
